A Campaign Summary

It may appear quiet on the surface regarding events in June, but this is all part of our strategy to enable the team to focus on important tasks behind the scenes.

July is going to be mega busy with the Hessle Sinfonia event on the 7th July (tickets on sale now direct from us), Jeddy Bears Picnic at Acre Head on Saturday the 14th July, together with our two promotional events at the Hull Health Expo 70 at the Doubletree Hilton on the 5th July and the Hull Hospital Fun Day at Castle Hill hospital on the 7th July.

These events are taking a lot of organising, together with our jewel in the crown, the Autumn Ball on Friday the 19th October at The Village Hotel (table reservations being taken now).

We will be doing table top and car boot sales in June however to keep us fit, but the main area of attention will be applying to local businesses and charitable institutions for (hopefully) large donations.

We are working hard with the Freemasons here developing a joint strategy for this. We are also working on our presentation for the Rotary Club at the end of June, submitting our appeal to be considered as their chosen local charity to support, for the Humber Bridge 1/2 marathon. Fingers crossed for that one.

We will be submitting our business plan to more charitable trusts for their consideration as well and this is extremely labour intensive and time consuming ensuring all of their strict criteria are met. There are potentially big rewards however.

Our forecasted target for June was £50k and we are currently at £49,700, so we are virtually bang on target. If we can hit £75k soon, that will allow us to order a RetCam3, but without (what we consider) essential add ons. These can be added at a later date though as funds permit.
